Job Description
Provide leadership, support, direction, and supervision of staff in the daily operations of Spa and Wellness programs, including but not limited to, retail, salon, fitness programs, tennis, spa treatments and children and teenager activity programmes. Total financial management duties, budgeting, forecasting, payroll and scheduling as well as product inventory and ordering. Must have the expertise and ability to exceed Leading Quality Assurance (LQA) standards (+90 Points) and Forbes Travel Guide Five Star standards by ensuring quality, attention to detail, and driving of Belmond brand standards throughout the operation. The coming year will have tremendous focus placed on Forbes, LQA, and Belmond brand standards; a candidate with a proven track record of leading a team (combined with their subject matter expertise) through the process of acquiring and maintaining a Forbes Five Star rating is essential. In addition, a successful candidate must have proven expertise in spa concept, design, and marketing, as 2023 will see a completely new design of our spa facilities, an investment of approximately USD $8M, beginning with construction scheduled to begin in April 2022
Requirements
Must have a proven track record of outstanding results performing in an equivalent position, in a Forbes Travel Guide Five Star property. Experience in guiding a team to the successful outcome of achieving Forbes Five Star is highly desirable.
Minimum five (5) years of experience in a Spa and wellness leadership role in a luxury hotel or spa, with a minimum three years of management at the luxury level in a manager or director level. Must have proven expertise in strategy and spa concepting. Expertise in project management and designing resort/hotel-wide wellness programs is highly desirable.
College or vocational degree required, preferably in hotel/business management, sales, or marketing.
Massage or skincare license/certification preferred.
