Assistant Housekeeping Director
We are seeking an exceptional Assistant Housekeeping Director function. Reporting to the Director of Housekeeping, this position is responsible for
- Providing leadership and management of the Housekeeping Department.
- Assisting with room related operations ensuring Company policies and procedures are being enforced and ensuring employees are providing guest satisfaction.
- Resolving guests’ complaints, handling all guest interactions with the highest level of hospitality and professionalism, accommodating special requests whenever possible.
- Establishing detailed cleaning and preventative maintenance programs to ensure appearance and life of all furniture, fixtures and equipment.
- Inspecting and evaluating the physical condition of guestroom and public area product.
- Monitoring inventories of guest supplies, amenities, linens, including equipment on a monthly basis to be monitored.
The successful candidate will have the expertise and ability to exceed Leading Quality Assurance (LQA) standard (+90 points) and Forbes Travel Guide Five Star standards by ensuring quality, attention to detail, and driving of Belmond brand standards; a candidate with a proven track record of leading a team (combined with their subject matter expertise) through the process of acquiring and maintaining a Forbes Five-star rating is essential.
Requirements
- College degree preferably specializing in hotel management.
- A minimum of three years leadership experience in a Housekeeping Department in a luxury hotel.
- Excellent Communication, interpersonal and organizational Skills
- Ability to motivate and lead a large team
- Strong interpersonal and problem-solving abilities
- Computer Literate in Microsoft applications required
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
