Assistant Food amp; Beverage Director
We are seeking an exceptional Assistant Director of Food and Beverage to function as the tactical business leader of the Property’s food and beverage front of house operation. Reporting to the Director of Food and Beverage, this position develops and implements property-wide strategies that deliver products and services to meet or exceed the needs and expectations of the brand’s target customer and property employees and provides a return on investment. The successful candidate will have the expertise and ability to exceed Leading Quality Assurance (LQA) standard (+90 points) and Forbes Travel Guide Five Star standards by ensuring quality, attention to detail, and driving of Belmond brand standards; a candidate with a proven track record of leading a team (combined with their subject matter expertise) through the process of acquiring and maintaining a Forbes Five-star rating is essential.
Requirements
- A four-year degree from an accredited university in Food Service Management or related major
- A minimum of five years’ experience in the food and beverage or related professional area with a proven track record of outstanding results in an equivalent position in a luxury hotel.
- The ideal candidate will have a progressive work history within the luxury hospitality sector with a focus on food amp; beverage operations (i.e. restaurant, in-room dining, events, etc.).
- Understanding the demands and aspects of high expectations of guests.
