Job Description

The Director of Food amp; Beverage for Cap Juluca, A Belmond Hotel, Anguilla will functions as the strategic business leader of Cap Juluca’s Food amp; Beverage operations, with a focus on the guest experience in the front of house Famp;B functions of the resort. This position oversees the development and implementation of departmental strategies an ensures implementation of the brand service strategy and brand initiatives and ensures the rooms operation meet the brand’s target customer needs, ensures employee satisfaction, and focuses on growing revenues and maximizing the financial performance of these departments. Develops and implements property-wide strategies that deliver products and services to meet or exceed the needs and expectations of the brand’s target customer and property employees and provides a return on investment. Must have the expertise and ability to exceed Leading Quality Assurance (LQA) standards (+90 Points) and Forbes Travel Guide Five Star standards by ensuring quality, attention to detail, and driving of Belmond brand standards throughout the operation. The coming year will have tremendous focus placed on the retention of the Forbes Travel Guide Five Star Rating as well as LQA and Belmond brand standards; a candidate with a proven track record of leading a team (combined with their subject matter expertise) through the process of acquiring and maintaining a Forbes Travel Guide Five Star rating is essential.

Requirements

  • A four-year degree from an accredited university in Hotel and Restaurant Management, Hospitality, Business Administration, or related major is required.
  • At minimum, five years of experience in a senior / executive-level role (i.e in a Director of Food amp; Beverage), with a proven track record of outstanding results in an equivalent position in a luxury hotel. The ideal candidate will have progressive work history within the luxury hospitality sector with a focus on food amp; beverage operations (i.e. restaurant, in-room dining, events, etc.). Understanding the demands and aspects of high expectations guests in an environment with an ADR (average daily rate) in excess of US$1500 is essential.

This is a role for which it is essential to have an established track record in working in a luxury, complex environment. Must have the expertise and ability to exceed Leading Quality Assurance (LQA) standards (+90 Points) and Forbes Travel Guide Five Star standards by ensuring quality, attention to detail, and driving of Belmond brand standards throughout the operation.
