Stewarding Manager

Job Description
We are inviting applications from suitably qualified people to fill the position of Stewarding Manager, at Cap Juluca, A Belmond Hotel, Anguilla.
Some of the job functions of the successful candidate include:
- Lead and manage the Stewarding team in all aspects of the department and ensure that standards are followed.
- Responsible for the overall cleaning and hygiene activities within all food preparation areas in accordance with local authority and resort guidelines and exceeding Leading Quality Assurance Standards (+90 points) and Forbes 5-star Travel Guide rating.
- Ensure that all cleaning is carried out in accordance with Food Hygiene Regulations and the appropriate Health and Safety Regulations.
- Work closely with the Culinary and Food amp; Beverage teams to anticipate guests’ needs.
- Ensure that all Banquet Event Orders are reviewed, and proper set-ups are in place.
- Responsible for the storage and maintenance of all chinaware, glassware, silverware, kitchen hardware and other operational related items.
- Ensure that all stewarding equipment is being used safely and correctly and that it is cleaned and maintained and any repair or maintenance required is reported to the Maintenance Department.
- Produce and maintain all administrative records and reports concerning the stewarding department.
Requirements
- A minimum of three years’ leadership experience in a stewarding department or other Food amp; Beverage area is required.
- Excellent Communication and Organizational Skills.
- Strong interpersonal and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent time management.
- Computer literate in Microsoft applications.
- Ability to work well under pressure.
- Valid Food Handlers’ Permit.
