Job Description

From the pristine sands of our famed platinum beach to the inviting, cool interiors of our rooms and restaurants, every part of this luxury Anguilla resort is designed to enchant.

We are inviting applications from suitably qualified candidates to fill the position of Chef de Cuisine, in our Italian restaurant, CIPS by Cipriani, at Cap Juluca, A Belmond Hotel, Anguilla.

  • Oversee the menu design and production of authentic Italian cuisine with a key focus on freshness and top-quality products and ingredients.
  • Implement procedures and production processes to run a professional and systematic kitchen operation.
  • Provide culinary training to the staff for them to direct their efforts toward exceptional and complete guest satisfaction, employee productivity, compliance to brand standards, and hotel profitability including a concentrated focus on Forbes Travel Guide Service and Leading Quality Assurance Standards.
  • Achieve financial goals regarding food and labour costs according to budget guidelines.
  • Produce high quality culinary menu products that target the Resort’s luxury market.
  • Establish exceptional sanitation practices, purchasing standards, and controls.
  • Ensure that kitchen staff adhere strictly to recipe and food preparation standards laid out by the Executive Chef.
  • Provide assistance to the Executive Chef as required.
  • Keep all refrigeration, storage, and working areas in an exceptionally clean, working condition to comply with Health Department regulations.
  • Ensure that Quality and Service Standards are higher than the minimum required by the Five Star Forbes Travel Guide.
  • Remain current on business trends and local activities.

Requirements

  • A four-year (4) culinary degree.
  • A minimum of three (3) years’ previous experience in a similar position for a premier luxury hotel.
  • Must have a valid food hander’s license.
  • Thorough product knowledge of all food and beverage operations.
  • Effective communication, emotional intelligence, and adaptability
  • Outstanding leadership skills
  • Flexibility and excellent efficiency in working under pressure.
